Dr. Erin Flynn-Brown

Dr. Erin Flynn-Brown is an alumnus of the University of Minnesota at Crookston and a graduate of Northwestern Health Sciences University. While attending Northwestern, she became especially interested in chiropractic care for pregnant women, infants, and children. Dr. Erin completed additional chiropractic training and is certified in perinatal and pediatric chiropractic care from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). She is also Webster certified, which is a technique utilized to reduce intrauterine constraint in pregnant women. Treating the entire family has become Dr. Erin’s passion. She modifies her adjusting technique and style to best serve the needs and preferences of each patient, as she recognizes that each person is unique and what works for one patient may not work for another. She firmly believes that chiropractic care is important for everyone and can benefit all people, no matter what their current health status.

In her personal life, Dr. Erin is the proud mother of Robert (Bobby), Camille (Cami), and Daniel (Danny). When not in the office, she most enjoys spending time outdoors. As a former collegiate athlete, if she can’t be outdoors, she enjoys working out or playing sports. Volleyball is her personal favorite as she played at the university all four years while pursuing her bachelor’s degree. She also enjoys cooking and baking when trapped inside. Dr. Erin and her husband, Dr. Bob, love spending time with their family and often travel to their hometown areas of Bloomer, WI and Brainerd, MN, to see family.

Dr. Bob Brown

Dr. Bob attended St. Cloud State and is also an alumnus of Northwestern Health Sciences University. Throughout his professional experience, he has enjoyed treating patients of all ages, from newborn to elderly. As a former three-season high school athlete, Dr. Bob is particularly passionate about treating sports injuries and helping athletes reach their optimal potential.

Dr. Bob’s father is an orthopedist and was the driving force behind his decision to go to chiropractic school, recognizing that the medical community is evolving. He believes in personalized care for each patient, evaluating and treating the person based on their unique needs. He utilizes various modalities and reaches out to other healthcare professionals when necessary to get optimal results. Dr. Bob strongly believes in the chiropractic lifestyle and that one of the greatest benefits of chiropractic care is that regular adjustments can lessen the likelihood of developing chronic medical conditions, decreasing the need for any major medical interventions. Dr. Bob is a proponent of practicing what he preaches. He believes that the path to wellness is a daily adventure and carries this out through proper nutrition and staying active.

Outside the office, Dr. Bob is an avid outdoorsman. His “home away from home” in South Dakota is nostalgic to him not only to hunt with his father, but also to farm the land of his ancestors. He has spent countless hours roaming the acreage they have there and loves every minute. Beyond hunting and farming, Dr. Bob is most peaceful at home. He most enjoys spending time with his children, who are truly the lights of his life.

Erin Barstad, cmt

Erin Barstad - CMT

As a Craniosacral and Massage Therapist, I have a passion for helping people from all walks of life. I have been asked to perform massage at births, assisted chiropractors in preventing helmets in babies, relieved migraines from those who suffer from them daily, and provided pain relief in many different circumstances.

I graduated in 2010 from Northwestern Health Sciences University with a certificate in Massage Therapy. While learning relaxation and Deep Tissue, I also took additional classes in reflexology, cancer and sports massage. Through the years, I have become known for my deep tissue work, and ability to get to the source of the problem.

During school, I also took the 100 hour Craniosacral Certification through Dynamic Body Balancing. I took it twice to make sure I got all the information out of it! Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle technique used to check for and release any imbalances in the cranial plates, sacrum, and the connecting fascia.

Craniosacral therapy has been tied together with different modalities. I utilize my Massage background to work with the fascia and muscles that may be restricting the cranial plates. I have seen such wonderful results from this approach, rather than only working with the cranials, or just giving a massage.
